Teacher Shabbat
At Temple Emanu-El



Temple Emanu-El will honor
its religious school teachers at
services today. Faculty Appre-
ciation Shabbat is an annual
event dedicated to recognizing
the temple teachers.
Teachers participating in the
service are: Marilyn Smith, Lisa
Padzensky, Ahuva Newman,
Donna Brennan, Eunice Rose
and Cantor Norman Rose. Dr
Margaret Eichner, director of
education and youth activities;
will deliver the D'var Torah.
Teachers who have taught for
more than ten years will receive
special gifts. They are: Marilyn
Dano, Jennifer Patterson, Mrs.
Rose and Julie Kraus. Faculty
who have taught for five-ten
years will receive certificates of
appreciation. They are: Sue
Melamed, Alex and Sara Skoc-
zylas and Marilyn Smith. Par-
ticipating in this aspect of serv-
ices• will be Temple Emanu-El's
PTO and student representative
Sarra Mossoff (12th grade). An

Darouwshe Speaks
In Ann Arbor '

Caucus and the New Israel
Fund, together with the B'nai
B'rith Hillel Foundation and the
Michigan Student Assembly, are
bringing educator and political
activist Mohammad Darouwshe
to Ann Arbor.
On Wednesday Darouwshe
will address the topic "The State
of Arab-Jewish Dialogue in Is-
rael: Prospects for Peace?" The
event will begin at 8 p.m. in the
Pendleton Room in the Michi-
gan Union. There will be no
