Multi-Media Show
Tops Israel Fair

An audio-visual spectacular
on Israel, featuring hundreds of
color slides and 16 projectors,
will highlight the "Israel'86"
summer program fair for youth,
to be held March 16 at the main
Jewish Community Center. •
Another Israel is a montage of
sights and sounds that show Is-
rael's countryside, its people, its
culture, lifestyles and technolog-
ical advances. The production,
which utilizes a giant screen, ,
also provides glimpses into Is-
raeli traditions and customs.
There will be continuous
showings of the half-hour show

p.m. Admission is free.
The presentation is being
brought to Detroit in conjunc-
tion with the summer program
fair, which features 24 special
programs for American high
school and college students.
The fair is sponsored by 10
organizations with the partici-
pation of eight more. Coordinat-
ing the event are Benny
Schwarz, Israel shaliakh at the
Center, and Tom Wexelberg-
Clouser, Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion staff associate.
It is designed to acquaint
young people with the variety of
summer opportunities in Israel,
from travel and study to work
on a kibbutz or living with a
family in Detroit's Project Re-
newal sister city of Ramla.
There will be Israeli music,
song and refreshments. Past
participants in summer pro-
grams will be available to an-
swer questions and share ex-
periences.
