NEW & USED CAR BROKER CALL US AT (313) 851.9700 31471 Northwestern Hwy., • Farmington Hills, MI 48018 The article was entitled "The New Teenage Playgrounds," in last week's edition of The Jewish News. There were many prob: leans with this article. First, the cover stated the article was on page 44. and it was on page 48. Some people would say this is not a big deal, but if one did not pur- sue this matter further, one would think teenagers today are very unruly. Second, the title sounds very immature; the title alone makes teenagers look very bad without even reading the ar- ticle. Third, the article mentions teens not paying for 'food, spit- ting, etc., howevdr, it does not mention, in great detail, any teens that are good; teens that are doing well in school, have jobs, and always pay for food and never spit. In the article, it sounds like many teens are unruly; but I would assume it is less than one percent. The problem is that the community does not treat' teens like adults. I am studying at the University of Michigan in an adult community where there are many teens who do not act un- ruly. If this community treated teens like adults I think the prob- lem would vanish. Nqw, when I go into a business that read this article, I look very immature. If one gives teens a break, we will prove ourselves. In response to Mr. Bob Matley of Ram's Horn restaurants, he would not give me a job. I applied as a waiter, went back many times, and I even had experience as a waiter, but he would not hire me. Do not judge people (teens) by what other people say or write. One does not know what a young adult .is unless they will give a Young adult a chance. Jeffrey A. Brasch Goldsteins Still Need Our Help We would like to express our appreciation to The Jewish News for the constant and continual news about Jews in the Soviet Union who need our help. The latest article on the Goldsteins of Tbilisi (Feb. 21) and the activities of AkiVa Day School on their be- half was especially pertinent. The Goldsteins have permis- sion (to leave Russia), and all those who have helped can feel very proud. In a conversation with friends in the West, just a week and a half ago, the Golds- teins said that they hope to be in Israel by Pesach. However, no one is out until they are out! Since the KGB reads most of the Goldsteins' mail, we want to "HELP" the Soviets keep their promise to the Goldsteins. Writ- ing letters of congratulations to the Goldsteins will help the Soviets keep their promise of exit visas for them. , - Their addressee are.
