LAW: (Legal.Advocac-y for
Women) volunteers from
Greater Detroit Section
and its Business and Pro-
fessional Branch offer sup-
port service and advice to
victims of domestic vio-
lence.
SPACE: volunteers help
meet the needs of single
parent families (sepa-
rated, widowed and di-
vorced) through support
groups, workshops and re-
treats.
UP. AND OUT: volunteers
administer a new pro-
gram providing enter-
tainment, transportation
and refreshments to
Seniors at minimum cost.
VICTIM SERVICE COUNCIL:
volunteers offer informa-
tion and support service to
victims of crime.
THRIFT SHOPS: a volunteer
committee supervises the
operation of two resale
shops. A third is about to
open.
In addition, many volunteers Contribute by serving on various administrative committees, engage in advocacy, assist in many public relations activities, and work in the office to supplement staff.
And last but never least, a heartfelt thank you to all the NOW members who we never see, but without whose financial support we would cease to exist.
