(Roberta) Freedman; a brother,

ter, Mrs. Herbert (Dorothy) Adler
of Chicago, Ill.; and five grand-

Claire Kemper, a longtime

Pearone, died Feb. 21 at age 78.

the time of her death, Mrs.

Isadore Chaiken

Isadore Chaiken, owner of
Myrtle-17th Package Liquor for
the past 30 years, died Feb. 20 at
age 69.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Chaiken
previously ran the Chaiken park-
ing lots in Detroit for many
years. He was active in many
downtown charities with Msgr.
Clement Kern.
Mr. Chaiken was a member of
Mosaic Lodge of the Masons, a
lifeinember of Jewish War Vete-
rans, life member of Veterans of
Foreign Wars and the Downtown
Synagogue.
He leaves his wife, Frances; a
son, Norton of Cypress, Tex.; two
daughters, Miriam and Mrs.
Stuart (Rochelle) Nelson; two
brothers, Irving and Jack; and
one grandson.
