Dr. Samuel Levine

Dr. Samuel J. Levine, a dentist
who practiced in Mt. Clemens,
died Feb. 14 at age 78.
Born in Detroit, Dr. Levine
practiced dentistry from 1932 to
1976 when he retired. He was a
1931 graduate . of the University of
Michigan School of Dentistry and
a member of Temple Israel.
He leaves his wife, Carolyn; a
son, Dr. Stephen D. of Los
Angeles, Calif.; two daughters,
Mrs. Bruce (Beane) Thal and Mrs.
Al (Janet) Mellman of North-
ridge, Calif.; a brother, Eugene;
two sisters, Mrs. Max (Ruth) Shell
and Mrs. Harry (Hilda) Haber;
and eight grandchildren.

Stern was a member of B'nai
B'rith and Cong. Beth Achim.
She leaves her husband, Julius;
two sons, Marshall and Sheldon of
San Diego, Calif.; a daughter,
Lynne Terri of San Diego; a sister,
Mrs. Sol (Ruth) Baker of Roches-
ter, N.Y.. and a brother, Gerald
Belz of Willowdale, Ont.

Columnist Sobol

New York — Louis Sobol, a
Broadway columnist for Hearst
newspapers for 40 years, died Feb.
9 at age 90.

Henrietta "Hattie" Ham-
burger, a member of local Jewish
organizations, died Feb. 14 at age
86.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs.
Hamburger was a member of
Temple Beth El and its sister-
hood, Hadassah, Order of the
Eastern Star, Sinai Hospital
Guild and the Greater Detroit -
Motion Picture Association.
She leaves two sons, Dr. Stuart
and Dr. Joel; a daughter, Mrs.
Raymond (Helen) Kanagur; ten
grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.

MORRIS WEIN, 90, of Oak
Park, died reb. 13. Survived
by his wife, Sarah; daughter-
in-law, Dena; zayda of Mark,
Debbie and Larry; nieces and
nephews.
