Emmy Award-Winning televi-
sion and' radio journalist Daniel
Schorr will present "the inside
story" at a meeting on behalf of
the Allied Jewish Campaign, 7:30
p.m. March 5, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
The evening is by invitation
only to 1986 AJC contributors of
$500 or more.
Schorr, commentator for Na-
tional Public Radio, can be heard
daily on WDET's "All Things con-
sidered", 5-6:30 p.m.
Former senior correspondent
for Cable News Network, Schorr
was a national and foreign corre-
spondent for CBS News for a
quarter century. He is the winner
of three Emmy Awards for his
coverage of the Watergate scan-
dal.
With only 6% weeks to go before
the official closing of the Cam-
paign, Chairman Stanley D.
Frankel and Paul D. Borman are
looking forward to a huge com-
munity response to the meeting,
and to finishing the Campaign far
ahead of previous years.
Ttlo secure as many pledges as
possible by March 5, a series of
Campaign telethons will precede
the meeting. On Sunday, five
shifts of volunteers will man the
phones at the United Hebrew
Schools Adolph Deutsch Building,
beginning at 10 a.m. and conclud-
ing with a Young Adult Division
telethon at 7 p.m. On Wednesday,
two shifts of volunteers will be on
the phones from 4 to 8 p.m.
