Michigan's First Lady Paula
Blanchard will spend an eve-
ning with the Business and Pro-
fessional Women of the Jewish
Welfare Federation, Feb. 27.
The dinner meeting will take
place at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue, beginning with cocktails
at 6 p.m.
Mrs. Blanchard is adviser to
the director of the Michigan De-
partment of Commerce, concen-
trating her efforts on marketing
and promoting Michigan-made
products, tourism and special
events.
When Gov. Blanchard was in
Congress, Mrs. Blanchard
served as a co-chairman of the
Congressional Wives for Soviet
Jewry, whose purpose is to as-
sist people in the Soviet Union
who wish to emigrate to the
West. Mrs. Blanchard also re-
ceived the Ida Nudel Award
from the National Conference on
Soviet Jewry for her efforts.
She is currently pursuing a
graduate degree in telecom-
munications at Michigan State
University.
Linda Klein is chairman of
the Business and Professional
Women's Division. Associate
chairman is Florine Mark.
Susan Moiseev is program
chairman, and her associate is
Amy Brown.
