The third annual Week of the
Jewish Woman will be kicked
off at a brunch at 10 a.m. Feb.
23 at the Lubavitch Center,
28555 Middlebelt, Farmington
Hills.
Guest speaker will be Geila
Brock, New York stock broker,
who will deliver a talk on
"Jewish Woman — Discover the
Jew in You."
Three simultaneous work-
shops will follow. They include:
"Women in Prayer and
Synagogue — Our Rights and
Rites," conducted by Rebbetzin
Chaya Silberberg of the Bais
Chabad To* Center of West
Bloomfield and Akiva Hebrew
Day School; "Discovering (or
Re-Discovering) the Joy of
Judaism," led by Ms. Brock; and
"No Deposit, No Return —b
Education, Priority No. 1," led
by Shirley Zimberg, early child-
hood education specialist and
Sorah Rosen, art history expert
and creator and project director
of HISTOP.

Shirley Benyas will appear in
the Detroit premiere of Wayside
Motor Inn, opening today at the
Oakland University Studio The-
std.
Benyas has been cited for her
performance in What I Did Last
Summer at the University of
Detroit and Wedding Band at
the Attic Theater. She is also
appearing as a Lithuanian boot-
legger in Singing Birds, her
first full-length film.
Performances will be at 8 p.m.
today and Saturday, and Feb.
14, 15, 21 and 22; at 2 p.m.

Lifesaving Class
"CPR: The Heart-Saver
