Open To Israelis

Chai — Chabad Adult Insti-
tute of the Torah Center of West
Bloomfield announces a monthly
lecture series, "L'Dovrei Ivrit"
exclusively for Israelis.
This is an attempt to offer to
this segment of the Jewish
community a learning and social
gathering suitable to their par-
ticular needs.
The first lecture will be held
on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. in the West
Bloomfield home of Avi Be-
naderet. For directions, call Be-
naderet, 851-5287. Rabbi
Elimelech Silberberg will dis-
cuss "The Components of Torah"
and will focus on the function of
the different segments of Torah:
Talmud, Midrash, Zohar, Mis-
hna.
The lecture is open to the pub-
lic and is followed by a social
hour and refreshments. There is
no charge. For information, call

Temple Honors
Four At Services

The Birmingham Temple will
honor four of its members who
are in training at the Humanist
Institute to become leaders of
Humanistic Judaism at services
today at 8:30 p.m.
They are Carolyn Fried,
Miriam Jerris, Janis Levin-
Gorelick, and Suzanne Paul, all
of whom will present a special
program on the theme "Training
for Humanistic Leadership." The
public is invited.
