Cong. Shaarey Zedek Sister-
hood will hold its winter brunch
on Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. in the
Morris Adler Hall of the
synagogue.
Guest speaker will be Suan
Winton Feinberg, head designer
and president of Walter Herz
Interiors. She will give a slide
presentation on "Colors and
Color Trends."
Ms. Winton Feinberg is a
graduate of Syracuse Univer-
sity's Lowe Art Center with a
B.F.A. degree in interior design,
fabric design with a minor in
art history. She has been pub-
lished in Interior Design ,maga-
zine.
She creates a great deal of her
own custom furniture and has
designed residential and com-
mercial interiors in Florida and
New York. She has also done
contract work here and in Palm
Beach, Fla.
The brunch also will honor
mothers of b'nai and B'not
mitzva, consecrants and high
school graduates. Admission to
the brunch is nominal. Babysit-
ters are available upon request.

Osteoporosis
Study Undertaken
A screening technique for the
early detection of osteoporosis, a
deterioration of the bones that
affects 25 percent of women
after menopause, is being inves-
tigated by Sinai Hospital of De-
troit physicians Drs. Jeffrey G.
Obron and Seymour Ziegelman
of the department of obstetrics
and gynecology.
Osteoporosis is most often
characterized by the "hunch
back" syndrome, most often
striking white elderly women.
The following factors place
women at high risk for develop-
ing osteoporosis: low calcium in-
take, smoking, petite bone
structure, or a family history of
bone fractures.

ticipating in the study should
