hotel's grounds.
Rabbi Zvi Bercovitz provides
daily religious services, as well
as supervising the restaurant. A
small synagogue meets in the
hotel's main building. Other
religious features that are
planned at the Stagecoach in
the future are an eruv (a sym-
bolic boundary) and possibly a
mikveh (ritual bath).
For an observant Jew, this
hotel certainly simplifies travel
plans. It has an American plan
package which includes room,
meals and tickets to Disney
World and Epcot Center, and
does away with the problem of
how to organize meals when you
can't touch money on the Sab-
bath. A three day-two night full
American package is $143 per
person, with children aged five
through 11, $12.50, and age 12
and over $25 per day. Other
packages are available.
But there are drawbacks to
this resort. The menu at the res-
taurant is limited, and the food
uninspiring. There seems to be a
shortage of staff, and when the
hotel's full and there are plenty
of non-hotel guests coming in for
a meal, there are ridiculously
long waits for a table and for
food.
For a hotel that caters to
families, its restaurant fails to
meet their needs. It only has
two baby high-chairs and does
not provide any crackers or
bread sticks to keep the little
ones occupied while they wait
for food.
The hotel rooms are not large,
and for a family with three or
more young children they would
be a tight squeeze. There's a
pool, a kiddie pool, a video game
area and shuffleboard courts to
keep people busy when not off at
one of the Kissimee-Orlando
tourist attractions.
A free Disney shuttle is also
provided.
