Rabbi Norman Kahn

Rabbi Norman Kahn will be
honored Feb. 2 at the Crown
Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla., at
the annual dinner for Yeshivath
and Mesifta Torah Vodaath.
Rabbi Kahn is a graduate of
the 60-year-old school. Torah
Vodaath has graduated
thousands of rabbinic and lay
leaders that are now active in
Jewish communities around the
globe.
Rabbi Kahn came to Detroit
in the early 1950s as a teacher
for the Beth Yehudah Schools.
In the mid-1960s he was tapped

has led the fund-raising efforts
of the school.
Rabbi Kahn is an active
member of the Council of Or-
thodox Rabbis of Greater De-
troit. He has chaired many
fund-raising events in support of
Yeshivath Torah Vodaath. He is
also a supporter and activist for
Ner Israel Rabbinical College in
Baltimore, Torah Schools for Is-
rael, Kamenitzer Yeshivath in
Israel, Torah Umesorah, The
National Society of Hebrew Day
Schools and more.
