Place: Jewish Community Center W. Bloomfield
Studio Theatre
Topic: "Discovering Our Roots: Journeys to the Lands
of Our Fathers and Mothers"
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit your parents' birthplace? What
remains in Eastern Europe as a reminder of the vibrant Prewar Yiddishtulture?
Esther Tschirhart and Naomi Ebenstein both independently traveled to Eastern Europe
this past summer, to visit the cities and neighborhoods where their parents grew up and
lived before the Holocaust.
Esther and Naomi will present slides of their journeys and will discuss the impact that their
trips had on their families and themselves.
This meeting is open to the entire community. We urge you, your families, and friends
to attend this fascinating program.
Bagels, refreshments and coffee will be served.
