Carla Mintz has assumed the
position of community consultant
for the Michigan Regional Anti-
Defamation League staff, accord-
ing to Stuart M. Lockman, presi-
dent of the league's Michigan
board.
Based in Detroit, Ms. Mintz will
be responsible for service to out-
state communities, and serving as
general assistant in the Michigan
Regional office.
A 1985 University of Michigan
graduate, Ms. Mintz received her
master's degree in social work,
having done field work with. the
Jewish Family Service. She also
received her bachelor's degree
from U-M, majoring in psychology
and Near Eastern studies. She at-
tended Tel Aviv University in
1981, 1982 and -1983.
Fluent in Hebrew, she has ex-
tensive gymnastics and physical
education experiences as well.
Ms. Mintz is a member of the
National Association of Social
Workers, and has been an active
member of the Young Adult Divi-
sion of the Jewish Welfare Feder-

room 239 of the main Jewish
Community Center and at 7:30
p.m. Jan. 22 in Jaffe Hall of the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch of
the Jewish Center.
Jewish Marriage Encounter is a
private, couple' experience that
provides married couples the op-
portunity to strengthen their
communication.

Movie Sodes

Cong. Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses will begin a movie series at
7 p.m. Feb. 2 in the synagogue.
The first feature will be Ship of
Fools. Subsequent films include
The Boat Is Full on March 2 and
The Man' in the Glass Booth on
April 6.
Dr. Dan Greenberg, professor of
film, will introduce and comment
on each film. Coffee and.cake will
be served. There is a- nominal
