Aging" at 8 p.m. Thursday at
the main Jewish Community
Center. Dr. Steven K. Baum of
the Sinai Hospital Problems of
Daily Living Clinic will be the
guest speaker. A social hour will

FOR JEWISH SINGLES will
have a singles service and oneg
as part of its rotating service
series at 8 p.m. Jan. 10 at Tem-
ple Kol Ami. The service was
arranged by Rabbi Ernst Conrad
and Ruth Moss.
The CNJS will have a "Sun-
day at the Movies" activity at
11:30 a.m. Jan. 12, meeting at
the Eatery, 19471 W. Ten Mile,
Southfield, for brunch. The
group will go to the movies after

The CNJS Dinner Club will
go to Modesta's at 7 p.m. Jan.
13. Paid reservations are due by
Monday. Cost includes meal, tax
and tip.
The Chai Ski Club of the
CNJS will hear "All About
Cross-Country Skiing" at 7:30
p.m. Jan. 15 at the main Jewish
Community Center. Larry
Rosenberg will be the speaker.
There will be a demonstration of
ski equipment and a ski fash-
ions display. Refreshments will
be served. Admission is free.

Sanctuaries

New York (JTA) — The New
Jewish Agenda (NJA) has re-
ported that an ongoing study
indicated that, as of Dec. 1, 17
Reform and Conservative
synagogues had declared them-
selves to be sanctuaries for
Central American refugees.
