Lecture, Classes
For Senior Adults

The senior adult department of
the Jewish Community Center
will present a talk by Rabbi
Elimelech Silberberg of Cong.
Bais Chabad of West Bloomfield
at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the assembly
hall of the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch.
Rabbi Silberberg will speak on
"Jewish History Through the
Eyes of the Torah." The film,
Israel: The History of the Jewish
People, will be shown.
Admission is free, and all senior
adults are invited.
The Shaina Shabbos Program
will take place at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 3
in Jaffe Hall of the JPM Branch.
Celia Dzodin, pianist, will
conduct a sing-along. Admission
is free, and all senior adults are
invited.
Sharon Schwartz of the
Midrasha will present the first
lecture in a six-part series,
"Jewish and Female," at 1:30 p.m.
Jan. 3 in Jaffe Hall. All senior
adults are invited free of charge.
The movie, Jane Eyre, will be
shown at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 in the JPM
assembly hall. All senior adults
are invited free of charge.
Bella Dzodin will teach drama,
dance and exercise at the JPM
assembly hall on Tuesdays. The
drama group will meet at 9:30
p.m., exercise class will be at 11
and dance class at 11:45.
Admission is free, and all senior
adults are invited.

The senior adult department of
the Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit at the
Maple`Drake building has
developed programs and classes
for senior adults on Mondays and
Thursdays, beginning the week of
Jan. 13.
On Mondays, dance exercise
and aquatics classes will be
offered at a nominal fee. The
afternoon programming includes
a monthly book review, a current
events dialogue group and
entertainment. All are free.
On Thursday mornings the
walking club and water exercise
classes will meet, along with a
bridge class taught by life-master
teacher, Bonnie Ward, in the
afternoon.
Luncheon will be available in
the cafeteria on both days.
Classes are limited.
Registration is now being
accepted. For information on
