dish film. The late Orson Welles
narrates.
Dan Greenberg of the Adat
Shalom Adult Study Commission
will introduce the films and com-
ment on them. Greenberg, a pro-
fessor of film at Oakland Com-
munity College and the film critic
for the Observer and Eccentric
newspapers, appears weekly on
Arts in Review, an OCC-TV pro-
duction telecast on all Oakland
County cable systems.
The series second presentation,
A Wall in Jerusalem, contains
rare footage of historical moments
in Israel's evolution.
The film series will conclude
with The House on Chelouche
Street, in Hebrew with English
sub-titles. Set in the summer of
1946, Chelouche Street tells the
story of relationships during the
closing years of the British Man-
date in pre-state Israel.
SPACE Conducts
Support Groups
SPACE, a community service
for men and women who are sepa-
rated, divorced or widowed, will
have a series of support groups
during January.
The divorce support group will
meet at 7:30 p.m. Mondays, be-
ginning Jan. 6 at the SPACE of-
fices, 30233 Southfield, Suite 100,
Southfield.
The widowed support group will
meet at 7:30 p.m. Mondays, be-
ginning Jan. 6 at the SPACE of-
fices.
The men's only support group
will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays,
beginning next Thursday at the
SPACE offices.
A drop-in discussion group for
men and women is held at 7:30
p.m. every Wednesday at the
SPACE offices.
A drop-in meeting for single pa-
rents of severely handicapped or
terminally ill children will take
place at 8 p.m. Jan. 8 at the
SPACE offices.
At 3 p.m. Jan. 19, there will be a
talk on "How Do I Like Me — Let
Me Count the Ways" at the
SPACE offices.

Performing Arts For Kids, a
new program at the Southfiel Art
Center,will begin the week of Jan.
13.
Mime And Clowning For Kids,
one of the two classes offered, is
designed for kids age 7 to 12.
Theatre for the Young, for youth
age 12 and older, is an introduc-
tion to acting and basic stage
skills.
Mime And Clowning For Kids
will be held Thursdays at 4 p.m.
Theatre for the Young will be on
Saturdays at 1 p.m. Registration
begins Jan. 4 at Southfield Parks
and Recreation building. There is
a fee.
