Beth Achim's youth de- partment will conduct its an- nual Shabbat Hanoar/Youth Shabbat service on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. Youth members ages 3-18 will participate and Lahav United Synagogue Youth President Avi Friedman will address the congregation. Beth Achim has selectef four award winners for the 1985 Youth Department Scholarship award made available by Ber- nard Edelman, "for excellence in the area of Jewish values and commitment to the Jewish way of life." The four recipients are: Yale Goldis, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Goldis of Farmington Hills; Harriet Sherman, daugh- ter of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Sherman of Southfield; Larry Tepman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Tepman of Southfield; and Barrett Zeff, son of Dr. and Dr. Lawrence Zeff of West Bloom- field. They will be recognized for their achievements on Saturday at the annual Youth Shabbat service.
