For Campaign
Journalist George Will will
help kick off the 1986 Allied
Jewish Campaign at a buffet
dinner at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at
Adat Shalom Synagogue. Ad-
mission to the program is by in-
vitation only to 1986 Campaign
contributors of $2,500 and over.
Cocktails will precede dinner.
Will's commentary is heard
regularly on ABC's This Week
with David Brinkley. and his
syndicated column appears in
400 newspapers. A former
Washington editor of National -`
Review magazine, Will holds the
Pulitzer Prize for journalism,
awarded for his columns in
Newsweek magazine.
A collection of his articles,
The Pursuit of Happiness and
Other Sobering Thoughts, was
published in 1978 by Harper
and Row, and a second collection
published in 1982 by Simon and
Schuster is entitled, The Pursuit
of Virtue and Other Tory No-
tions.
Tuesday also signals the start
of an intensive period of cam-
paigning with meetings
scheduled for all Campaign di-
visions by the end of the year.
In addition, a final 1981 Cam-
paign telethon will take place
Thursday in an effort to reach
all remaining unsecured cards.
