One Of The Nation's Foremost. Authentic Mexican Restaurants

"Like being at the finest of Mexico City"

Jack and Miriam Shenkman,
noted philanthropists and
Jewish communal activists,
have endowed the therapeutic
playroom in Bar-Ilan Univer-
sity's psycho-educational clinic.
Bar-Ilan maintains a series of
therapeutic facilities which
allow residents from surround-
ing communities to receive qual-
ity psychological evaluation and
treatment, at no cost; and pro-
vide a real, but closely-
supervised training experience
for the university's psychology
and education graduate stu-
dents.
The psycho-educational clinic
takes in, observes, and
evaluates the behavior of chil-
dren, aged 4-14, who have been
referred to the university by
local schools. Specific recom-
mendations are made by Bar-
Ilan staff to bring about im-
provement to the children's be-
havior, both in school and in the
home. Some 160 children are
evaluated annually.
The Shenkman Playroom
forms part of the psycho-
educational clinic that was re-
cently renovated through the
generosity of Detroiter Dr. A.
Freda Milstein.
