Seniors Host Family
Chanukah Party

A family Chanukah celebra-
tion will be hosted by the senior
adult department of the Jewish
Community Center at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch.
Harriet Berg will direct a
dance show entitled, "The Nut-
cracker's Sweets from Israel."
All are invited. Refreshments
will be served. There is a nomi-
nal charge.
Benny Schwarz, community
shaliach, will give a slide pre-
sentation on "Kibbutz Life" at 1
p.m. Tuesday in the JPM as-
sembly hall. All senior adults
are invited free of charge.
Celia Goodman will discuss
the short story, King Solomon,
with senior adults at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in room 15 of the
JPM Branch. Large print copies
of the story will be available.
Admission is free and all senior
adults are invited.
The senior adults will 'be
entertained at a Lebedikeh
Lobby at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in
the lobby of the JPM Branch.
Cantorial soloist Marcie Shul-
man, of Temple Israel will
entertain. All senior adults are
invited free of charge.
Rabbi Allan Blustein, Sinai
Hospital chaplain, will be the
speaker at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in
the assembly hall of the JPM
Branch. He will speak on "The
Jewish Communal Life of
France and Germany." All
senior adults are invited free of
charge.
Wednesday afternoon socials
will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wed-
nesdays in the Jaffe Hall of the
JPM Branch. Entertainment
will be provided by vocalist
Mayme Lawson, pianist Mimi
Zacks and violinist Sid Mann. A
flutist and accordionist also will
entertain. The activity was ar-
ranged by Bernard Luchtan.
Admission is free.
A class in photography will be
conducted by Morrie Baker at 1
p.m. Thursdays in room 8 in the
JPM Branch. Admission is free
to all senior adults.

Day School
Benefit Slated

The Hebrew Day School of
Ann Arbor will have its sixth
annual goods and services auc-
tion and art show and sale at 1
p.m. Sunday at the Ann Arbor
Inn.
The Danielle Peleg Gallery of
West Bloomfield will present the
art show and sale.
Among the items to be au-
ctioned off are gift certificates to
restaurants, get-away weekends,
catered meals, legal and profes-
sional services, clothing and ac-
cessories.
Child care will be available.
Refreshments will be served.
Admission is nominal.
Proceeds will benefit the day
school.
