percent of Israeli university stu-
dents are from Sephardi
families, but their numbers
have been continuing to rise.
Israeli colleges have estab-
lished a tutorial service for
them, Perach, which gives a tui-
tion discount of 60 percent to
students who tutor for four
hours per week. The number of
tutors has grown in one year
from 8,000 to 12,000.
