Power Scholar
Is Announced
Amy E. Ansell, a senior phi-
losophy major at the University
of Michigan, has been awarded
a Power Exchange Scholarship
for two years of study beginning
next fall at Cambridge Univer-
sity's New Hall in England.
Ansell, the daughter of Bur-
ton and Marjory Ansell of Bir-
mingham, will complete a
Bachelor of Arts degree next
May. She is conducting an inde-
pendent study in the philosophy
of social change and plans to
attend law school after graduate
studies in philsophy and politics.
Ansell is a James B. Angell
Scholar and secretary of the
Mortar Board National Honor
Sociaty; programming
coordinator-secretary for the In-
volved in Michigan Political Ac-
tion Committee; a member of
Mano Blanca, an action theater

groupadvocating
peace in Cen-
tral America; and a member of
United Jewish Appeal, the Insti-
Insti-
tute of Students and Faculty on
Israel, U-M Students for Soviet
Jewry and the University
American Civil Liberties Union.
Beaumont Hospital-Troy will
have a meeting of its support
group for parents who have ex-
perienced the death of a child at
7:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at the Troy

Funeral director David M.
Techner of Ira Kaufman Chapel,
a specialist in grief and be-
reavement counseling, will be
the guest speaker.
