James D. Grey will be installed
as president of the B'nai B'rith
Metropolitan Detroit Channel for
1986 at Adat Shalom Synagogue
on Sunday at the organization's
46th annual installation and
dinner-dance.
Grey replaces Oscar J. Tuttle-
man as president of the more than
5,000-member council. Tuttle-
man becomes chaplain of the
council and has been elected as a
member of the eight state District
Six board of governors of B'nai
B'rith.
Grey is a charter member and
Past President of the Account-
ant's Unit of B'nai B'rith, and has
served as council treasurer for the
past three years, and as a board
member of the Covenant Credit
Union and numerous council
boards and committees.
Elected with Grey were: Vice
Presidents Charles Growe, Eins-
tein Lodge; Lawrence Hyman,
Accountant's Unit; Sol Lefton,
Centennial Lodge; and Peter A.
Perlman, Detroit Lodge.
Mark Z. Segal is the new record-
ing secretary and Michael E.
Tobin is the assistant recording
secretary. Both are members of
the Ivan S. Bloch-Israel Lodge.
Jacob Braslaw, Centennial
Lodge, is the incoming treasurer.
Trustees are Bernard Glaser,
Centennial Lodge; Arthur
Goldberg, Morgenthau-L'Chayim
Lodge; Charles Goldstein, Pisgah
Lodge; and Wayne Kristall, Cen-

Grey also is on the board of
Temple Israel Brotherhood, and
on the budget and fees committee
of the Fresh Air Society.
A native Detroiter, Grey re-
ceived his B.A. degree in Account-
ing and M.B.A. degree in Finance

Al Ackerman
Sportscaster Al Ackerman will
be the guest speaker at the fourth
annual Detroit Lodge
Sportsman's Night at 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 10 at Buddy's in Farmington
Hills.
Ackerman's sports broadcast-
ing career began in Detroit on
Channel 4 (then WWJ-TV) in
1964. Following a seven-year
stint at WXYZ, he rejoined WDIV
in August 1979 as sports director.
Dinner consisting of salad,
pasta, pizza and soft drinks will be
served. A cash bar will be avail-
able. There is a minimal charge
for members. Prospective mem-
