WITH THE ADDITION of
three new photos recently, Jeff
Rosenberg, catering director of
Adat Shalom Synagogue, will
have to increase his wall of celeb-
rities . . . Latest are Winston
Churchill III, grandson of Sir
Winston, Senator Robert Dole and
Michigan Governor James Blan-
chard.
Jeff follows in the catering fam-
ily footsteps of his mom and dad,
Sarah and Al Rosenberg . . . with
the feeding of famous folks.
Jeff's gallery of photos has a pic-
ture of Albert Einstein, one of him
with Hubert Humphrey, Jr.,
Minnesota's attorney general, a
shot of Jeff's father, Al, serving
dinner to former U.S. Vice
President Hubert Humphrey .. .
Former Gov. William Milliken,
James Brickley, William Lucas,
Carl and Sander Levin, Henry
Jackson, John Glenn, Donald
Riegle, Jr., Bella Abzug, Coleman
Young, Moshe Dayan, Menachem
Begin, Lowell Weicker and
Michigan's first lady, Paula Blan-
chard, are among the political
standouts.
Then there is General Motors
President Roger Smith, former
U.A.W. President Doug Frazer,
Michael W. Blumenthal, TV an-
chor Mort Crim and TV anchor
Dayna Eubanks . . .
Songwriter-musician Barry Man-
ilow is posing with Jeff, his
mother Sarah and cousin Rosalie
Stein . . . Actor Theodore Bikel,
Dr. Joyce Brothers, actress Molly
Picon and comedian Bob Hope are
among others.
Keynote speaker Senator Ed-
ward Kennedy, honoring Michi-
gan Attorney General Frank Kel-
ley at recent Israel Bond dinner at
Adat Shalom, were both smiling
and posing with Jeff for another
classic photo . . . A wonderful one
hanging is that of Jeff when he
was seven years old . . . at the
original Holiday Manor on
Wyoming . . . with his late
grandmother Sylvia Rosenberg,
whose cooking made her a
standout celebrity in the local
world of kosher katering.
CONGRATS ... to sportscas-
ter Lou Michaels . . . on his birth-
day . . . Lou's Sportsview America
is heard over WBRB (1430 AM)
Mondays through Fridays, 5:30 to
7:30 • . . He is also the new sports
director at WBRB.
"I DO" DEPT. ... Prominent
tax attorney Marc Plotkin and
Lucille "Lu" Todd, will be tied by
Rabbi Irwin Groner this Sunday
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
CLASS ELEGANCE is the
two words you can say for recent
second anniversary party by John
Darakjian Jewelers at their sec-
ond locale in Franklin Center
Building . . . From gold invitation
to highly-styled people to beauti-
ful hors d'oeuvres to an excellent
display of jewelry, it was a very
high grade anniversary presenta-
tion . . . very well received.

FRANCES EISENSHTADT
turned tables around on two days
notice by tossing a birthday party
for herself (with assistance of
hubby Norman) . . . and pi'esent-
ing each guest with gift . . . Was
attended by about 30 at Tam
O'Shanter Country Club for a de-

lightful lunch . . . The gals even
received a rose as they left.
CONGRATS. ... to Ruth and
Sam Gussin, former Detroiters
now living in California . . . on
their 50th anniversary.
SELECT GROUP OF people
marveled at success by Hughes
and Sheila Potiker at 25th an-
niversary of Entertainment Corp.
. . . in Money Tree next door
downtown . . . Entertainment '86
books were given to attendees .. .
and one lassie was boiling . . . be-
cause she had bought one just an
hour before the party.
HARD TO BELIEVE, even if
you saw it . . . those wild hairdos
at recent 1985 Fashion Expres-
sion II for Juvenile Diabetes
Foundation, put on by Heidi Sa-
lons at Hyatt Regency.
"This is tame compared to
California," said Dan Rappaport,
with wife Mona and daughter
Lindo Aolomon . . . "Out there the
women wear hairdos with stripes
and all different colors."
LETTER TO grandparents
Dorothy and Morris Fishman .. .
"Dear grandma and papa. I am
healthy and everything is fine.
The weather is incredible. Every-
day it is bright, sunny and warm.
Israel is a beautiful country. I've
seen parts of the Old City includ-
ing the Western Wall. Papa, I put
a note there for you. When I asked
how long until God got it, they
said allow about six to eight
weeks for delivery, allowing for
any postal workers strikes. I've
been 16 for seven days now and I
enjoy it a lot. I can't wait to get my
license!! (Except, I'll wait until I.
get home. Israeli people drive like
animals.)
"Thanks for the apple strudel. I
celebrated my 16th by becoming
the first person ever to eat Pickle
Barrel apple strudel at 30,000 feet
over the Atlantic. Later, it saved
me from getting sick. I ate it in-
stead of the airline food. I miss
home a lot, so please write!! I love
you and will see you soon."
Love,
Gary
SEEING SIGNS ... on door of
Max Burns' Humidor One smoke
shop, Evergreen and Northwest-
ern . . . "Thank You For Smoking"
. . . (Ever realize the very ap-
propos last name Max has for his
business? His parents couldn't
have picked a better one than
Burns.)
WILLIAM DAVIDSON,
owner of the Detroit Pistons, and
one of the inductees himself to the
Michigan Jewish sports Hall of
Fame, will send his private plane
to bring former Detroit Tiger
great Hank Greenberg here for
the Dec. , 4 banquet at Cong.

Shaarey Zedek.
