John Loftus

John Loftus, Justice Depart-
ment attorney who investigated
the Nazi connection in the U.S.,
will be a guest speaker of the
Business and Professional
Women, $750 Section, of the
Jewish Welfare Federation at 6
p.m. Dec. 3 in the home of Linda
Klein.
Following his investigation
into Nazi recruitment by U.S.
intelligence agencies in 1979,
Loftus' interest and expertise
led him to write a history of the
Nazi smuggling programs in
America. He has since gone
back to a private law practice
with a firm in Boston.
After his book, The Belarus
Secret, was declassified by the
CIA, Loftus enabled 60 Minutes
to televise a segment on the
Nazi connection. Since then, a
major motion picture company
has purchased the rights to the
book, to be produced as a televi-
sion mini-series.
Ms. Klein is chairman of the
Business and Professional
Women's Division. Susan Miller
is 'advance gifts chairman, and
Barbara Goldman is her associ-
ate chairman.

New President

Los Angeles--Dolores Wilken-
feld of Houston was elected to a
two-year term as president of
the 100,000-member National
Federation of Temple Sister-
hoods at the organization's 35th
biennial convention in Los
Angeles last week.

New Program
For Urban Jews

New York — The Resnick Fel-
lowship Program, a project that
will train rabbinical students to
reach unaffiliated young Jews
living in urban centers, has
been launched by the Jewish
Theological Seminary of
America.
The five 1985-1986 Resnick
Fellows, students at the semi-
nary's rabbinical school, will
hold internships under the
tutelage of Marshall T. Meyer,
rabbi of Cong. B'nai Jeshurun.
