Drive Commences

No Child in Israel without a
Chanukah" is the slogan
adopted by the Greater Detroit
Council of Pioneer
Women`Naamat for its annual
Dollars for David campaign, an-
nounces Mrs. Frank Rath,
chairman of this year's commit-
tee.
Dollars for David is a special
Chanukah project conceived by
Pioneer Women`Naamat to as-
sist children in border settle-
ments exposed to the risk of ter-
rorism, or orphans who have no
families with whom - to celebrate
Chanukah.
There are about 20,000
youngsters in 500 day nurseries
throughout Israel from age
three months to five years who
rely on the services of Pioneer
Women`Naamat for their sup-
port and maintenance.
Serving on the committee
with Mrs. Rath are Frieda
Leemon, Billie Kramer, Frieda
Faigin, Alice Ross, Elaine
Kohner, Jane Barenholtz and
Margaret Bialkin. Charlotte
Wachtel assisted in the plan-
ning stages.
The drive will culminate with
a luncheon to be held at Sutton
Place Apts. club house on Dec.
9.
