THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Friday, November 15, 1985 85 NEW CADILLAC? BUY or LEASE B'NAI MITZVAH . . . and thank you for Toss A Party." from ANDY BLAU AUDETTE CADILLAC Temple Teens Twin B'nai Mitzvah Daniel Gurwin and Mathew Paletz will share their b'nai mitzvah with Artur Finkelstein of Chernovtsy, Ukrainian SSR, USSR, at Temple Israel services Saturday. Daniel is the son of Nancy and Donald Gurwin of South- field. Matthew is the son of Susan and Robert Paletz of Farmington Hills. Artur is the son of Frida and Salomon Finkelstein. The Fin- kelstein family was refused permission to emigrate to Israel to join Finkelstein's parents in June 1972. No reason was given for their refusal, but they be- lieve the pretext is Finkelstein's previous army service from 1968 to 1970 as a carpenter in a con- struction division. In 1972, Mrs. Finkelstein's mother arrived in Israel; Fin- kelstein's parents emigrated to Israel in 1974. The family con- tinues to submit emigration ap- plications. Artur was 13 in September, but as it is forbidden by Soviet law for anyone under 16 to take part in a religious ceremony, he was denied his right to be a bar mitzvah. 851-1200 With the best selection of holiday supplies at the best prices, there's a lot to be thankful for at Toss A Party. r 7100 Orchard Lake Rd.
