This inherited disease occurs predominantly in persons of Mediterranean or Middle East origin. Armenians, Arabs, and Sephardic Jews are particularly affected. Familial Mediterranean fever is characterized by acute, recur- rent attacks of fever, abdominal or chest inflammation, and/or arthritis. There are presently no tests to diagnose the disease, consequently, many people with this disorder are misdiagnosed. Persons who have had symp- toms characteristic of Familial Mediterranean fever and who wish to participate in the study, can call Dr. Brickman, 493- 5177. Participants in the study will receive care at a reduced fee. MON.-SUN. 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. DINNER INCLUDES SALAD, POT., VEG.
