Offered By Sinai

Sinai Hospital of Detroit will
offer a three-part series on par-
enting in cooperation with the
West Bloomfield Schools Com-
munity Education Department,
West Bloomfield Families in Ac-
tion, and West Bloomfield Youth
Assistance, beginning at 7:30
p.m. Tuesday at Orchard Lake
Middle School, 6000 Orchard
Lake Rd., West Bloomfield.
The series, "What's the Mat-
ter with Kids Today?," will be
held on three consecutive Tues-
day evenings, next Tuesday and
Nov. 19 and 26. All programs
are free and open to the public.
On Tuesdays, Hazel Karbel of
Sinai's department of psychia-
try, will speak on "Communicat-
ing with Your School-Age
Child." Dr. Susan Silk of the
department of psychiatry will
present "Coping and Growing
with Your Teenager" on Nov.
19. On Nov. 26, Dr. John Flatter
of the department of psychiatry
will discuss "Values Develop-
ment and Sexuality: The Parent
as Sex Educator."

Detroiter Wins
Fulbright Grant

Jason D. Weintraub, son of
Drs. Roselyn and Gerald Wein-
traub of Birmingham, has been
awarded a Fulbright grant to
conduct research in entomology
in London, England.
Weintraub is a graduate of
Harvard College and a doctoral
candidate at Cornell University.

Planned In Troy

The Troy Jewish Congrega-
tion Youth Committee will
sponsor a rollerskating party on
Sunday at 2 p.m. at Skate
World, 2825 E. Maple, Troy.
There will be lunch before the
party.

Bnei Akiva Plans
Shabbat Group

Bnei Akiva, Galil Detroit, will
have its Shabbat Snif (group) at
Young Israel of Southfield and
Saturday at 3:30 p.m. There is
no charge for the program, and
refreshments will be served.
At 7 p.m. Saturday; the group
will reconvene for rollerskating.
There is a charge. All the pro-
grams are open to students be-
tween sixth grade and 12th
grade.
