Ohio; five grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
ETHEL FERENCY, 77, of
Southfield, died Nov. 5. Sur-
vived by two sons, Herbert and
Bernard of Pembroke Pines,
Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Hy (Helen)
Quint of Youngstown, Ohio; and
five grandchildren.
ANNA FLIGMAN, 77, former
Detroiter of Delray Beach, Fla.,
died Nov. 3. Survived by her
husband, Louis; a son, Dr. Ar-
thur of West Bloomfield; two
brothers, Jack Bialer and Sol
Bialer, both of New York; three
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

died Nov. 4. She leaves a son,
Bob of Florida; three daughters,
Mrs. Helen Kern, Mrs. Rose
Miller and Mildred "Mimi"
Hozman; a sister, Mrs. Anna
Whitman; ten grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren.
FRANCES GOLDICH, 87, of
Southfield, died Nov. 4. Sur-
vived by a son, Jordon Mellen; a
daughter, Annette Mellen; nine
grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
PAUL GOLDSTEIN, 85, died
Oct. 29. He leaves his wife,
Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. Joanne
Seltzer of New York; a sister,
Miriam Stone; four grand-
children and two great-grand-
children.
JOSEPH HIRSCH, 77, of Gar-
den City, died Oct. 31. Survived
by his wife, Frances; a son, Jack
of Taylors, S.C.; a daughter,
Mrs. Albert (Gail) Dempsey; and
four grandchildren.

Nov. 1. Survived by a son, Karl
Kay; and a sister, Mrs. Lottie
Weisman.

74, died Nov. 2. He leaves his

and Sanford; and two grand-

died Oct. 30. He leaves two
brothers, Harry of Miami Beach,
Fla., and Sam; two sisters, Mrs.
Mary Rosenblum of Los
Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Jessie

sister, Mrs. Anthony (Judy) Pal-

field, died Nov. 2. Survived by a

Morton (Roslyn) Weinger and
Mrs. Harvey (Hermaine) Raimi;
a sister, Mrs. Mollie Samovitz;
eight grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
CHARLES WEISS, 83, of
Southfield, died Oct. 30. Sur-
vived by his wife, Esther; three
sons, David, Gerald and Robert;
two daughters, Mrs. Leslie
(Barbara) Terner and Mrs.
David (Judith) Corey of Mission
Viejo, Calif.; a brother, Morte of
Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister,
Martha of New York City; and
12 grandchildren.
NORMA MANKO, 80, of Far-
mington Hills, died Nov. 5. Sur-
vived by two sons, Charles and
Arnold; three daughters, Mrs.
Hyman (Rose) Morgan, Mrs.
Harold (Gertrude) Feldman and
Mrs. Norman I. (Rae) Zukin; 22
grandchildren and 15 great-
grandchildren.
Joseph D. Feldman, founder
and president of Empire Steel
Products since 1940, died Nov. 6
at age 70.
A native Detroiter, Mr.
Feldman was a member of
Franklin Hills Country Club,
Cong. Shaarey Zedek and was a
founder of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah.
He leaves his wife, Sally; two
sons, Sidney I. and Michael S.; a
daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Sylvia)
Miller; his mother, Mrs. Ethel
Feldman; two sisters, Mrs.
Harry (Pearl) Davis and Mrs.
Harold (Lillian) Finney; and six
grandchildren.

Nov. 2 at age 57.
Born in Windsor, Ont., Mr.
Cherney worked for the family
business, which was founded 52
years ago. He was a member of
B'nai B'rith.
