Shanah Kimelman
Twins Bat Mitzvah

Shanah Kimelman, daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Joel Kimelman
of Birminghm, will twin her bat
mitzvah on Saturday at Cong.
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses
with Margarita Litvak of Mos-
cow RSFSR, USSR.
Margarita is the daughter of
Evsei Samulkovna and Zhanna
Markovna Litvak, who are both
chemical engineers by profes-
sion. They also have a daughter,
Ilana, age 4. Mrs. Litvak's
father, Mark Grigorvich
Frenklakh, lives in Jerusalem,
Israel.
It is not known when they
first applied for an exit visa, nor
the reason that they were re-
fused.
Mrs. Litvak's parents were
permitted to emigrate to Israel
and were promised that their
child would be allowed to join
them soon. Her mother died in
1982, but her father still resides
in Israel.
Samulkovna is now working
as a laborer. In October, 1981,
they were warned to stop teach-
ing Hebrew.

Steven Beresh
Is Bar Mitzvah

Steven Jay Beresh will celeb-
rate his bar mitzvah on Satur-
day at Temple Emanu-El.
Steven is the son of Kenneth
and Susan Beresh and the
brother of Matthew. He is the
grandson of Leanore Faudem
and Myer and Sylvia Beresh,
and the great-grandson of Fan-
nie Beresh.

Support Groups
At Beaumont

William Beaumont Hospital,
Royal Oak, is hosting two new
support groups.
On the first Tuesday of each
month, a support group for
diabetics, 17 years and older,
will meet at 7 p.m. in the nu-
clear medicine department
classroom on the first floor of
the hospital's North tower. For
information, call the group,
288-7387.
Caring, a support group for
those who are caring for an
older adult, will meet Wednes-
day at 7 p.m. in the hospital's
surgical center waiting room,
second floor. There is a fee for
each meeting. For information,
call Beaumont's services for
older adults department, 288-
2635.
