shuny of Cincinnati, Ohio, an-
nounce the marriage of their
daughter, Carol Ann, to Michael
Dan Schwartz, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Maxwell J. Schwartz of At-
lanta, Ga., formerly of South-
field. Rabbi Sidney Zimmelman
officiated at the double-ring,
candlelight ceremony at Adath
Israel Synagogue in Cincinnati
on June 23.

the late Mr. and Mrs. George
Bailes. The bridegroom is the
grandson of Mrs. Anne Schwartz
of West Bloomfield and the late
Mr. Louis Schwartz and Mrs.
Emma Silverman of Atlanta and
the late Mr. Meyer Silverman.
- The matron of honor was the
bride's sister, Beverly Furst of
Cincinnati. Attendants were
Beth Anne Schwartz, sister of
the bridegroom, of Atlanta;
Julie Schwartz of West Bloom-
field; Leah Stein of . Woodmere,
N.Y.; Alesa Brookenthal of
Southfield, and Cynthia Sturm
and Debbi Sturm, and Ellyn
Klein of Cincinnati.
Best man was Robert
Sussman of Massapequa Park,
N.Y. Ushers were David Ger-
shuny, brother of the bride;
Murray Margolin, Jeff Mogul
and Ross Evans all of Cincinnai;
Jeff Samuelson and Terry
O'Shay of Dayton; and Larry
Schwartz of West Bloomfield.
Carol Ann received her B.B.A.
degree in marketing and man-
agement at the University of
Cincinnati and her M.B.A. de-
gree in finance at Xavier Uni-
versity. She is with the Fifth
Third Bank of Cincinnati.
Michael received his
bachelor's degree in urban plan-
ning and design at the Univer-
sity of Cincinnati and is pre-
sently in the M.B.A. degree pro-
gram at Xavier University. He
is a planner with the Northern

Kentucky Regional Planning
Commission.
After a honeymoon cruise to
Alaska, the couple is residing in
Cincinnati.

will hold its second annual
mahjong tournament at 7 p.m.
Wednesday at the Jewish War
Veterans Memorial Home.
Guests are invited, and there is
a charge. There will be prizes,
and refreshments will be served.

POST AND AUXILIARY will
meet on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at
the Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home. Plans for a
joint post and auxiliary
Chanukah party to be held on
Dec. 10 will be discussed. Pro-
spective members are invited.
The auxiliary will service a
group of patients at the Allen
Park Veterans Facility on
Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Games
will be played,. with cash prizes.
Canteen books will be .distrib-

awarded a third place plaque in
the recent District 6 B'nai B'rith
bulletin contest. Phil Rothschild,
editor, received a similar award
in the previous year's contest.
Rothschild has been editor of

the Morgenthau newsletter
since 1959 and has been the re-
cipient of numerous national
awards.
