Financial Planning
Seminars Slated

Attorney and radio personal-
ity Monte Korn and financial
planner Arnold Michlin will
conduct a series of financial
planning seminars under the
auspices of the Cong. Shaarey
Zedek Men's Club.
In addition to Korn and
Michlin, the speakers include
financial planners Norton Stern,
Richard Womack, Victor Coen,
Robert Biederman and Gary
Leeman.
The series, to be held at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, will begin on
NOv. 14 at 7:15 p.m. The eve-
ning's theme will be "Middle
Years — Building Wealth."
The second program will be at
7:15 p.m. Nov. 19 at the
synagogue and will be geared
toward singles and young mar-
rieds.
The final program in the
series will be aimed at retire-
ment and estate planning.
Proceeds from the seminars
will benefit the men's club's
scholarship fund.

Program Still Open

Temple Beth El's religious
school still has openings in its
program for exceptional chil-
dren.
The program is open to all
handicapped Jewish children, no
matter what the handicap, start-
ing at age 4.
Classes meet at 9:30 a.m.
Saturdays at the temple. Topics
include Bible heroes, Jewish
values, tzedakah, Jewish holi-
days, Israel and an introduction
to Hebrew. Israeli music and
dancing and crafts also are of-
fered.
Preparation for bar and bat
mitzvah, as well as confirmation
and high school graduation is of-
fered.
There is a nominal fee, and
temple membership is not re-
quired.

Federation Women
Will Have Telethon






Almost 1,600 women will be
called when the Jewish Welfare
Federation Women's Division
holds its annual Koach telethon,
Sunday-Wednesday.
A total of 100 volunteers have
been enlisted to make the calls
as the Campaign focuses on in-
creased telethon activity.
After raising over $3 million
last year, Women's Division has
already raised $1.7 million for
the 1986 Campaign.
Marjory Ansell and Marian
Kantor are chairmen of the
Koach steering comneittee. Bar-
bara Cook, Evelyn Silverman
and Linda Zlotoff are briefing
chairmen.
