The New World String Quar- tet, in co-operation with the Michigan Council for the Arts, will be presented. This concert is open to the public at no charge. The Quartet members are: Curtis Macomber, violin; Vahn Armstrong, violin; Robert Dari, viola; Ross Harbaugh, founding member, cello. This group is currently quartet-in-residence at Harvard University, where it conducts master classes and a concert series. Health Seminar Slated In Florida The sixth annual Florida health seminar will be pre- sented at the Palm Air Spa Hotel in Pompano Beach, Fl., Dec. 20-30. Rejections Tel Aviv (JTA) — Romania's Chief Rabbi, Moshe Rosen, has rejected applications by many Romanian villagers to be con- verted to Judaism, Israel Radio reported. Rosen said the villagers, from isolated villages in Transyl- vania, had never had any con- nections with Jews or Jewry. It is believed they wish to convert so that it will be easier for them to emigrate.
