Kepes 60th

Joseph and Celia Kepe's of
Oak Park celebrated their 60th
anniversary on Aug. 9, 1985. A
champagne luncheon was held
recently in honor of the occasion
at Roxfianik's. It was hosted by
their children, Mr. and Mrs. I.
Gerald Kepes and Mr. and Mrs.
Stewart M. Kepes.
Many of their grandchildren
and great-giandchildren joined
the celebration. Michael Kepes
sent greetings from Isiael.
Among the out-of-town guests
were' Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Kepes of Florida, Garry Kepes
of Oklahoma City and the Scott
Silver (Janice Kepes) family of
Los Angeles.

The elder Kepes and his wife,
the former Celia Klein, were
married in Detroit on Aug. 9,
1925, at Cong: B'nai Moshe.
They have, lived in the . met-
ropolitan Detroit area and
served the. community through
the years. Mrs. Kepes is a life
member of Hadassali and has
actively served on the board for
many years. Her husband is an
associate member of Hadassah,
a 32nd degree Mason, former
president of the Lapeer Parents
Association and the founder of
Auto City Heating. They are
charter members • of Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
