Detroit will be linked to To-
ronto next month for a weekend
seminar series called Aleynu ("it
is up to us").
The series, an outgrowth of an
adult education series produced
inIsrael on Jewish values, gives
a' comprehensive introduction
into the "why" of Judaism. The
program runs from Thursday
evening to Sunday &ail* and
covers philosophy, Hebrew,
Shabbat, Jewish history and
family.
Costs for the kosher catered
,weekend and first-class hotel ac-
commodations are kept to a
minimum. Student rates are
available. The program also in-
cludes a Saturday night• Melave
Malke with professional
entertainment.
The Metro Detroit Jewish
community has been invited by
the Toronto Jewish, community
to the Victorian Inn, Stratford,
Ont. Nov. 7-10, to participate in
Aleynu.
