The big news from the Israeli
fashion houses this fall is BIG — big
jackets, big shoulders, long skirts
and loose-fitting pants.
Nearly 20 Israeli fashion houses
displayed their' creations with five
Am6rican design houses at the an-
nual Israel Bonds fashion show held
last Wednesday at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
Choreographed to Israeli tunes
and popular American music, the
show featured tenniswear,
sportswear, leisurewear, formalwear
and men's casual and formal clothes
before an appreciative audience of
250.
Gottex, the swimwear , house,
used bright solids to showcase its
swimwear line. Solid orange, green
and turquoise shirts - were coverups
for matching tank-style swimsuits.

Gideori Oberson's line bent towards
the formal, with swim suits deco-
rated with sequins.
Casualwear designers spot-
lighted short-cropped, Joose-fitting
pants. Gali's coral, cotton knit pants
and tops and split • skirt sets proj-
ected an . airiness found in
loungewear and resortwear. Ober-
son's cotton sportSwear aimed at the
funky side of fashion, with a white
cotton jumpsuit decorated in black
and yellow "gigolo" graffiti: Glima's
bloomer jumpsuit in orange and cot-
ton with ties at the knees, is perfect
for lounging.
Leather is populat among the
Israeli designers and the creations
by Tadmor elicited 000hs and aaahs
from the audience. Two carmel-
