Linda Levy

The Jewish Association for
Retarded Citizens has an-
nounced that Linda J. Levyd
has been named the coordinator
of thp JARC Citizen Advocacy
Program.
Ms. Levy, working in a volun-
teer capacity, will train and
then match interested individu-
als in the community' to form a
special and helping relationship
with a mentally retarded adult.
These mentally retarded men
and women will be drawn from
more than 160 persons waiting
for plaCement in a JARC
Haverim Home. -'
Ms.Levy is affiliated with
Women's American ORT, De-
troit Soviet Jewry Committee
and the National Association of
Female Executives.
She has several years' experi-
ence working with persons with
developmental disabilities.
Volunteers for the JARC Citi-
zen•Advocacy Program are
needed.' Interested individuals
should contact her at the JARC

The Greater Detroit Council
of Pioneer Women will hold
their 60th anniversary donor
luncheon Nov. 3 at noon at Adat
Shalom Synagogue in Far-
mington Hills.
Following the luncheon, ac-
tress Alice Golembo will present
a one-women show highlighting
the wit, warmth and vision of
the late Israeli Prime Minister,
Golda Meir. The actress is the
grandniece of the late prime
minister and the show, which
includes readings from the
Broadway play Golda, was ar-
ranged by the JWB Lecture
Bureau.
The donor luncheon will be
chaired by Lee Wagman, past
council president. Other lunch-
eon organizers include Belle
Glenner, Lorraine Gale, Frieda
Barris, Ethel Waskier, Dorothy
Tendler, Barbara Berns, Bess
Berris, Evel3in -Noveck, and
Ruth Miller. Margaret Bialkin
is serving as director of table
arrangements. Sophie, Sislin,
Chana Michliti and Renee Shus-
ter are in charge of fundaraising
activities.
