August of Farmington Hills were
honored recently at a surprise
brunch at the Sheraton Hotel in
Novi on the occasion of their
50th anniversary.
The brunch was hosted by
their children,. Dr. Barry and
Libby August of Southfield and
Dr. Joel and Gail Sachs of New
York City. Guests included fam-
ily, close friends and grandchil-
dren Erica, David and
Stephanie.
The senior Augusts were mar-
ried Oct. 27, 1935, at Lachar's in
Detroit.
