Sinai Hospital of Detroit will
sponsor "Growing Older and
Wiser: A Series on Aging."
Hosted by Dr. Steven Baum of
Sinai's Problems of Daily Living
Clinic, the series will be presented
on Oct. 22, in the Zuckerman Au-
ditorium of Sinai Hospital, and on
Oct. 29 at Orchard Lake Middle
School.
The October 29 program is
being co-sponsored by the Sinai
Hospital Guild and the West
Bloomfield Schools Community
Education Department.
In "Passages: Mid-Life, Before
and After" (Oct. 22), Dr. Baum
will address normal and natural
developmental crises. In "Love,
Sex and Aging" (Oct. 29), Dr.
Baum will explore intimacy and
friendship, both in and out of mar-
riage.
All programs are free and open
to the public.

Eye Surgery
Patients Get Rides
Sinai Hospital offers free trans-
portation for patients coming to
the hospital for out-patient eye
surgery. Sinai's eye care
limousine will bring the patient
and a companion to the'hospital
for surgery, and provide a return
trip home after the surgery.
To request this service, patients
should call the Sinai Admitting
Department one week prior to
surgery, 493-5897, weekdays be-
tween 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Audiology Section of Sinai
Hospital's Nathan I. and Betty
Goldin Health Care Center in
West Bloomfield will offer a five-
session speechreading (lipread-
ing) class beginning Oct. 21. The
classes will be held on consecutive
Mondays at 5:30 p.m. There is a
fee for each session.
The course will be taught by
Sinai clinical audiologist Eileen

parents of North American Is-

will have its fall kick-off meeting
