Baila Leah Dzodin

The B'nai B'rith Hillel Foun-
dation at Wayne State Univer-
sity has named Baila Leah Dzo-
din outreach worker for the
1985-1986 school year.
Dzodin, a native Detroiter, re-
ceived a BA Degree from Michi-
gan State University and is cur-
rently working on her MA De-
gree in theater from Tel Aviv
University.
While studying in Israel, Dzo-
din taught theater and dance
classes at TAU, Hebrew Univer-
sity and Tel Chai College. Cur-
rently, she is teaching courses
at the Jewish Community Cen-
ter and Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
Dzodin has also performed
with Okon Cho's Korean Puppet
Troupe on tour in Michigan and
Ontario.

A pair of programs, one
featuring poet Allen Ginsburg
and the other with author and
Jewish News columnist Elie
Wiesel, highlight the October
events scheduled by the Univer-
sity of Michigan's B'nai B'rith
Hillel Foundation.
Ginsburg will conduct a
poetry reading 8 p.m. Oct. 16 at
Rackham Auditorium on the
U-M campus. Wiesel will give a
lecture at Rackham Auditorium
8 p.m. Oct. 29. Tickets for these
events may be purchased at
U-M or area Ticket World out-
lets.

'The documentary' Miracle of
Intervale Avenue will be shown
as part of Hillel's Hill Street
Cinema Series 7 and 8:30 p.m.
Oct. 20. Also scheduled for this
month are the films Terms of
Endearment (Saturday), Straight
Time (Oct. 17), Dogs of War
(Oct. 19) and Serpico (Oct. 24)..
Hillel's new student-run thea-
ter company, the Hill Street
Players, will perform the play
Talking With 8 p.m. Wednesday,
Thursday, Oct. 12 and 2 and 6
p.m. Oct. 13.
