AJCongress Has
Lecture-Brunch
American Jewish Congress
will present a lecture-brunch on
the theme, "A Continuing Chal-
lenge to Religious Freedom: De-
fending Our .Constitutional
Rights," on Nov. 3, from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m. in the Herman Hall of
Temple Israel.
AJCongress is sponsoring the
forum in cooperation with the
Jewish Community Council and
the Temple Israel Brotherhood.
Fred L. Goldenberg, chairman
of the Council's community rela-
tions committee, heads the
planning. committee. Represent-
ing American Jewish Congress
are Prof. Martin Adelman, Prof.
Edward Wise and Matilda Ru-
bin. Temple Israel Brotherhood
is represented by Leonard
Trunsky, Dr. Laurence Miller
and Meyer Arbit.
Judge Avern Cohn will mod-
erate a panel.

Support Groups
A support group for adult
diabetics and their families will
meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at William
Beaumont Hospital in Royal
Oak. --
The hospital is also sponsor-
ing CARING, a support group
for those facing the responsibil-
ity of caring for an older adult.
Group meetings for CARING
will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday
and Oct. 16. There is a nominal
fee for each CARING session.
