HAVE WE GOT A JOB FOR YOU!

Dr. Abraham Nemeth, who
developed braille music symbols
and math and science codes, was
honored by the Michigan Com-
mission for the Blind.
Dr. Nemeth, who is blind, re-
tired last July after 30 years of
teaching at the University of
Detroit.
He developed The Nemeth
Dictionary of Braille Music
Symbols.
His success in developing
braille music symbols, and his
need for special symbols to aid
his night school studies, led to
his development of braille math
and science symbols.
Nemeth's work in this area
eventually led to the Nemeth
Braille Code for Mathematics
and Science Notation, which be-
came the official math code for
blind people in the United
States and many parts of the
World.
