The American Jewish Com-
mittee, Detroit chapter, presents
an African adventure on Sunday
at 6 p.m. at the Blue Nile res-
taurant in Trappers Alley in
Greektown.
Gary Rosenblatt, editor of The
Jewish News, who recently
toured major communities in
Africa, will describe his experi-
ences. Seifu Lessanework, an
Ethiopian Jew and proprietor of
the Blue Nile, will relate his
experiences as a Jew in
Ethiopia.
Both Ethiopian and continen-
tal cuisine is available. Each in-
dividual may select and pay for
his own order. Reservations are
limited. To attend, call the AJ-
Committee office, 965-3353. The
public is invited.

Robert Clary's trek to stardom led him from the intimate cafes and
cabarets of Paris, where he started singing at age 12, to international
acclaim in night-clubs, theater, films and television.

His stage credits include "New Faces," "Seventh Heaven," "La Pume de
ma Tante," "Around the World in 80 Days," "Sugar" and "Cabaret."

On TV he has displayed his versatility in such shows as "Mery Griffin

Show". and "Hogan's Heroes."

Young People's
Day Due At SPACE

A day for young people, "Our
Family Is Getting A Divorce —
What Do We Do Now?" for
youth ages 8-18 and their par-
ents, will be held Sunday at
12:30 p.m. at Brace-Lederle
School in Southfield.
The program is presented by
SPACE, a non-denominational
community service of the Na-
tional Council of Jewish Women
Greater Detroit Section, in co-
sponsorship with The Orchards
Children's Services, Southfield
Parent Youth Guidance, Oak
Park Youth Assistance and
Southfield Public Schools Com-
munity Service Department.
Crossroads Productions, Ltd.,
will present The Pressure
Cooker by Irving Vendig, an
original play dealing with the
emotions created by an impend-
ing divorce. After seeing the
play, the audience will take part
in small group discussions led
by professionals. All groups will
be pre-assigned.
Similar support groups will be
offered on Sunday to families
who have lost a parent through
death.
Pre-registration for this pro-
gram is required. Call the
SPACE office to register, 258-
6606, Monday through Friday, 9
a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
