decision to visit a German cemetery with the graves of
SS soldiers. At left, he made the stop a brief one but
protests (above) were made around the world.

held rallies to protest Reagan's visit.

DRAMATIC MOMENT came when survivor Elie Wiesel
(above) urged the President (right) not to visit Bitburg.
