Eugene P. Sims, co-owner of
the Argyle Shop, men's wear,
died Sept. 8 at age 80.
Born in Pennsylvania, Mr.
Sims lived in Detroit 88 years. , )
Prior to opening the Argyle
Shop, he was the co-owner of B,
L. Sims Men's Wear from 1941
to 1966. He opened his own shop
in 1966.
He was a charter member .of
Temple Emanu-E1 its first tree-
surer and member of the temple
choir. He was a charter member
of Tam-O-Shanter, Country Club
and a supporter and worker for..
the Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra.
Mr. Sims was graduated from
the University of Michigan in ,
1928.
He leaves, his, wife, Deborah;
two sons, Theodore of Washing-
ton, D.0 and, Randall of New ,
York; a daughter, Eleanor of
New York; , a brother, Arthur;
and two grandchildren.
