Romney, writer, lecturer, politi-
cian, wife and mother of five
children. Ms. Romney is best
noted for her government activi-
ties during the past 15 years.
She was introduced to politics
when her father-in-law, former
Gov. George Romney, ran for
the presidency in 1968. In 1984,
she was the Reagan-Bush Fi-
nance Committee co-
chairperson. She currently
serves as honorary chairman for
the American Cancer Society of
Metropolitan Detroit. She was
recently elected to serve as the
national committee woman from
Michigan by her fellow Republi-
cans.
Ms. Romney is a co-author of
the best seller, Giving Time A
Chance. Her new book, Women
in Power, will be out- in the
spring.
