Rosh Hashanah Services

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish
New Year, will begin Sunday
e vening. Services will be held in
he community as follows:
SHALOM
ADAT
SYNAGOGUE: Services will be
field at 6 p.m. Sunday, and 8
1.m. Monday. The shofar will be
sounded at 9:50 a.m. and the
rabbi's sermon will be delivered
it noon. A Tashlich service will
be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday,
followed at 6 p.m. by
Minchah-Maariv. On Tuesday,
services will be held at 8 a.m.,
with the sounding of the shofar
at 9:50 a.m. and the rabbi's
sermon at noon. Minchah-
Maariv will be at 7:30 p.m.
Rabbi Efry Spectre will of-
ficiate, and Cantor Larry Vieder
will chant the liturgy.
CONG. BETH ABRAHAM
HILLEL MOSES: Services will
be at 7:15 p.m. Sunday and 8:15
a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Monday and
Tuesday. Rabbi A. Irving
Schnipper will officiate, and
Cantor Ben-Zion Lanxner will

chant the liturgy accompanied
by the synagogue choir.
CONG. BETH ACHIM: Rosh
Hashanah services will begin at
7:30 p.m. Sunday. Services will
continue at 8 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Monday and 8 a.m. and 7:30
p.m. Tuesday. Rabbi Milton
Arm will officiate, and Cantor
Max Shimansky will chant the
liturgy, assisted by the
synagogue choir. Auxiliary serv-
ices will be in the youth lounge,
conducted by Rabbi . Benjamin H.
Gorrelick and David Arm, and
in the United Hebrew Schools
auditorium, conducted by Rabbi
Herbert Eskin and Cantor Barry
Ulrych.
TEMPLE BETH JACOB:
Rabbi Richard A. Weiss will
speak on "How I Spent My
Summer Vacation: Self Re-
habilitation" at High Holiday
services at 8 p.m. Sunday. Offi-
cers and board members will be
installed and Stuart H. Wink-
